Dreaming of a long Summer: Monday Haiku

There’s a lot going on in the backyard. If Freddy the groundhog is not teasing us, then it’s the blackbirds taunting with their noisy songs and messy eating habits, flinging their bird seed all over the place. What do you think is the purrfect getaway for your cat?

Your imagination may be running wild, thinking of places where there are endless fields of catnip with birds swooping overhead and sinful amounts of cat treat buffets! But you may be getting ahead of yourself there. I’m thinking more local, you know, just a home away from home, a place to relax for a few hours, catch some sun, not too far away from my food bowl. We don’t do New Year’s resolutions – it’s a heavy burden that can weigh you down. Now not to burst your resolution bubble at all, we do have an alternative pathway that allows for more fluidity. Because life is not stagnant. Sometimes your goals need to shift gears too and may steer you in a different direction.

Instead, we like to use affirmations, because it’s evolving, shifting and changing according to whatever life’s tide washes your way. Affirmations will allow you to reach your goals, trailing along many pathways while keeping it crystal clear. Monday Haiku: Fall, A Tortie’s Best Friend

Hello, it’s Scout here and I present this week’s Marvelous Monday Haiku. Fall is my favorite time of the year because I like to collect leaves and bring them inside for the Big Man Cat while he works. I think he appreciates the sentiment. My job as interior decorator is made so much easier too because the catio is one messy jungle with an array of different colored leaves ranging from the rich chartreuse of the Kolomikta Kiwi vine to the browns and reds from the tree. Some really stoic, cheery sunflowers are still out and have not given up and the heady scent from the purple catmint blooms gives Mr. Jack sunset zoomies in the tunnel.

Hello, friends, I’m Scout the feisty tortie and I present today’s Marvelous Monday Haiku.
