For indoor cats, the grass is not greener on the outside. Perhaps your cat would disagree, but we know indoor living is the safest place for your cat. Free-roaming cats have a full daily schedule, they hunt, catch, kill, groom, sleep, and nibble on grass at their leisure. To keep your cat happy it’s important to provide a natural, stimulating and changing environment that most closely resembles what he would normally stumble upon in an outdoor kitty expedition. We know that one of the things cats love, next to catnip, is cat grass. What’s great to know is that cat grass is super easy to grow at any time throughout the year.

Today we celebrate International Cat Day or World Cat Day, founded by the International Fund For Animal Welfare in 2002 to celebrate our beloved feline companions around the world. Of course, the Chirpies know that every day is Cat Day because that is just the nature of things, right?

Meowvelous Monday Haiku

It’s no surprise that we love sunflowers. After all, it’s included as part of the Chirpy Cats brand with me, your social facilitator Mr. Jack as the mascot. (Good choice humans!) And that’s because every year in late Summer we look forward to these audacious late bloomers that light up the Chirpy Cats garden. Sunflowers never fail to delight with their optimism and their bold sunny cheery faces that seem to shout “hello!” each time you pounce by.

But there’s something else that makes these protagonists of the Chirpy Cats garden so welcome.

We’re going through another hot spell and the Chirpies are lying around like beached seals. Although we have air conditioning in the house the cats still feel the heat more than we do. Did you see the extra toe floofs on some cats!?

Why this box is the purrfect fit for your kitty

When I see the familiar box at my front door, I fumble for my keys and can’t get through the door quickly enough! Then there’s the unboxing, with the excitement of tearing through the crinkly packaging and finding a gorgeous new nail shade or hand cream.

But while trying out my new mascara promising luscious lashes my beauty box of goodies is raided by furry paws and curious whiskers, and lands on the floor.
